Description
When trying to update the password on SQL Server running on a Windows Server 2022, the following error appears:
Failed stopping service MSSQLSERVER with error: Dependent Services Running. -
Resolution
STATUS:
Change Request # 405048 was fixed in SPP version 7.0.3 LTS
Change Request # 404967 was fixed in SPP version 7.3
WORKAROUND:
Create a scheduled task to stop the SQL services before the password change schedule runs and then start the services after the password change -
