Title
"Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object" when using approval workflows -
Description
When using an approval workflow for group memberships, the approval proceeds as expected - however the object is not added to the group and the Change History shows the following error:
Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object
The approval workflow also contains a Search activity, and the Approval activity is placed inside of the search activity box.

Cause
The Approval activity is placed inside of the Search activity box. -
Resolution
Relocate the Approval activity to the outside of the Search activity box.
