ADSI provider does not create computer accounts with the $ at the end of the name as expected -
Description
When creating a computer account via the Active Roles ADSI Provider, a $ is not automatically appended to the end of the computer name. When creating accounts via the Management Shell, Console, or Web Interface, the $ is automatically appended as expected. -
Cause
The request is sent directly to ADSI, bypassing the validation checks provided in other Active Roles components. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND
Manually specify the $ in the computer name creation request.
STATUS
Enhancement request number VSTS102411 has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of Active Roles.
