Configuring Active Roles when the service account does not have the SQL dbcreator role -
Description
In some environments, SQL roles like dbcreator will not be granted to the Active Roles service account due to security or management concerns. If the Active Roles service account does not have the dbcreator role, attempts to create a new Active Roles configuration database will fail. -
Resolution
It is possible to configure Active Roles against a blank SQL database. For more information, please reference the Active Roles Quick Start Guide under the section titled Using a pre-created blank database
