When attempting to set the mail attribute to a specific value using an Active Roles Provisioning Policy and also mail-enabling an accounts during User Account Creation, the account's email address does not match the value specified via Active Roles Provisioning Policy.
The account is mail-enabled successfully.
This is expected due to Microsoft Exchange functionality.
The mail attribute will be updated with an email address value which is determined by the Microsoft Exchange Email Address Policy. This will overwrite the value requested by Active Roles in a Provisioning Policy.
RESOLUTION 1
Update the Microsoft Exchange Email Address Policy to set the desired value for the mail attribute. For more information on this option, please contact Microsoft or consult TechNet.
RESOLUTION 2
Update the mail attribute to the desired value in an Active Roles Workflow or Policy script AFTER the mail-enablement process has been completed.
