Records are present in the Management History database that are older than the configured Change History Retention Period

Customers may note some records present in the Management History database which are older than the configured Change History Retention Period.

These records will all be of type Deprovision, UndoDeprovision, or RunScheduledWorkflow

By design, Active Roles will retain Deprovision and UndoDeprovision records indefinitely. 

RunScheduledWorkflow records (the "Run History" from Automation Workflows) should not be retained indefinitely, and are not being cleaned out of the database due to Defect ID 294976.

 

WORKAROUND 1

During an upgrade, specify a date range in the Management History Import Wizard instead of choosing to import All Records

WORKAROUND 2

Manually delete old records from the Management History database. For assistance with this operation, please contact One Identity Support.

STATUS
Defect ID 294976 has been resolved in Active Roles 7.6.2 and 8.0

Defect ID 399889 has been logged to address the Deprovision and Undo Deprovision history retention. 

Feature Request 262782 has been logged to provide a control for these settings in the Change Tracking Log Configuration settings.

399889 and 262782 will be included in a future release of Active Roles.
