Where is the QAS Application Configuration (QAC) installed in AD? What QAC settings are being used on the Unix/Linux system?

The Quest Application Configuration (QAC) is an Active Directory object used to store Authentication Services product information such as license and default settings for QAS 4.x

There should only be one in an Active Directory Forest. If multiple configurations are found, QAS uses the one created first as determined by reading the whenCreated attribute.

There may be a need to find where it is located or if multiple QAC's which one is being used.

These commands will not report on which system the Authentication Services Windows software was installed on but will report on which domain the QAC is installed and what the system you are running it on is using.

Where is the QAC in AD and what setting are applied:

/opt/quest/bin/vastool -u host/ schema detect

What QAC settings are applied on the system where the command is being run:

/opt/quest/bin/vastool -u host/ schema list
