Currently, there is no built in facility for managing/automating the rotation of Privilege Manager log files.
The privilege manager programs/daemons only write short, quick entries to the /var/log/pm*.log log files, so It should be safe to use unix utilities
like logrotate or simple shell scripts to rotate these files in a cron job.
The pmloadcheck log file location is /var/log/pmlocalcheck.log, however its location is not configurable in the pm.settings file.
There is no need to restart any services when rotating the /var/log/pm*.log files.
Alternatively, you can enable UNIX syslog error logging in the pm.settings file, by specifying:
If you are rotating, backing up, or archiving the eventlogs or iologs on the policy servers, please refer to the "Backing Up and Archiving Event and Keystroke Logs" section in the online version of the Privilege Manager for Unix Admin Guide
