While trying to load the Console in a web browser getting error "HTTP ERROR: 503 SERVICE_UNAVAILABLE"
This is usually followed by a "RequestURI=/pathname"
CAUSE 1: The Management Console for Unix Service is not running
CAUSE 2:This has been caused by incorrect parameters in the jvmargs.cfg file which can be found here.C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Identity Manager for Unix\jvmargs.cfg In one instance this line was uncommented and no correct path had been provided:-Dimu.activeDirectoryConfig=/location/of/activeDirectoryConfig.xml
CAUSE 3: Port 9001 blocked or being used by another program
CAUSE 4: Corrupted or empty database
RESOLUTION 1:
Start the Quest One Management Console for Unix Service
RESOLUTION 2:
Comment out the misconfigured line or set a valid path or restore a default or known working jvmargs.cfg
RESOLUTION 3:
1 - Locate the jdbc.properties file
2 - Open the jdbc.properties file with a text editor and enter the following line:
hsql.server.port=${portNumber}
where: ${portNumber} is the desired port number.
RESOLUTION 4:
1 - After backing up the MCU database, delete it
2 - Upgrade to Management for Console for Unix 2.5.1
