Java plugin blocked by default in Chrome version 42 -
Beschreibung
Chrome version 42 blocks the Java plugin by default, which will cause Privileged Session Manager (PSM) session connections to fail, unless the plugin is re-enabled. -
Ursache
Java plugins use an API called NPAPI (Netscape Plugin API) and with Chrome 42, that API is now disabled by default. -
Lösung
FOR VERSION 2.5.916 AND ABOVE:
PSM Sessions are no longer use a browser based plugin. They are now launched in an external Java JNLP app to avoid browser compatibility issues. Users should now be able to use Google Chrome to start a PSM Sesssion.
FOR VERSION 2.5.915 AND BELOW:
Follow the steps below to enable the NPAPI in Chrome 42 and later:1. In your URL bar, enter: chrome://flags/#enable-npapi
2. Click the Enable link for the Enable NPAPI configuration option.
3. Click the Re-launch button that now appears at the bottom of the configuration page.

From Chrome 45, Google has completely removed all support for NPAPI plugins such as Java. PSM sessions cannot be ran from Chrome 45+. The user will receive the error "This site uses a plugin (Java(TM)) this is unsupported.".
