This hotfix is a complete rebuild and repackaging of the Defender Security Server component. As the hotfix is cumulative, please see the "Resolution" section for the complete list of Resolved Issues.

The following is a list of issues resolved in this hotfix.
Fixed an issue seen in the 220.127.116.1128 release where, under certain circumstances, the DSS could fail to handle proxied access requests.
Fixed an issue related to the Management Portal store & forward queue file (LogQueue.dat), which could potentially cause the DSS to fail or prevent the DSS service from starting.
To install this hotfix/patch:
1. Copy the 'Defender Security Server Install.exe' and the included Visual C++ redistributable to the same folder on the server hosting the DSS.An upgrade of the Defender Security Server is required.
2. Run 'Defender Security Server Install.exe'.
3. If prompted that the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) is required, select OK to continue. The package will be installed and the DSS installation will continue as normal.
Note: If the correct or a later version of the Visual C++ redistributable is already installed then this prompt will not be seen.
We recommend that if you are upgrading the Defender Security Server, the Defender Administration Console is also upgraded to the most recent version available.
To determine if this hotfix is installed:
1. Open 'Add or Remove Programs' or 'Programs and Features'.
2. Find the "Defender Security Server Active Directory Edition" software.
3. The version number should read '18.104.22.16834'.
To remove this hotfix:
Run a previous version of the 'Defender Security Server Install.exe' from a command prompt using the /nover switch. This will remove any changes made within this hotfix and revert all files back to the previous installation.

Improvements to the handling of the store and forward queue file used with the Defender Management Portal.
Modification to the DSS to resolve an issue with the Desktop Token license count, which could intermittently produce an incorrect value.
Improved the DSS log message related to AD Password authentications when using a 'Token with AD Password' policy.
Resolved an issue using AD Password Roll Out mode, which under certain conditions could cause the DSS to stop responding
The following is a list of issues resolved in hotfix/patch 126.96.36.19965.
Fixed an issue with the installer to work correctly when an iToken license is installed following a 5.6 to 5.7 upgrade. This will prevent the warning message 'Insufficient token licenses are available to cover the previously unlicensed iToken'.

Resolved an issue with the DSS where, under certain circumstances, an application error could occur at approximately 30 minute intervals.
Provided an enhancement to the DSS log to indicate when a user has authenticated with a temporary helpdesk token
Improved the handling of Unicode to UTF-8 conversion to prevent an intermittent DSS failure when a user DN contains characters such as ö, é, ø or ä
Improved the workflow process for SMS Tokens where the users AD Password is used as the trigger for the DSS to send the SMS and the administrator has configured an 'AD Password followed by Token' policy. The SMS message will now be sent when a valid AD Password is used for the authentication (when using the 'Only send SMS when requested' option).
Provided a modification to allow configured user attributes to be returned in a RADIUS payload.
The following is a list of issues resolved in hotfix/patch 188.8.131.5299.
Included an enhancement to support additional SMS token options that are configurable within the Defender Administration Console. This will allow for SMS tokens to be sent either pro-actively or only sent when requested.
Fixed an issue related to the SMS token where a new SMS was sent when a token response for a different token type was used.
Fixed an issue that would cause an SMS token response to fail when only a single token response was sent per SMS.
The following is a list of issues resolved in hotfix/patch 184.108.40.20691.
An enhancement to the DSS has been provided to allow Syslog data to be output to more than one server. The new configuration is located on the DSS Configuration dialog 'Audit Log' tab.
Resolved an issue that could result in slow authentications when DSS tracing has been enabled.
Support for optimizations to improve the performance of the Defender Administration Console during token programming.
