How to install this hotfix
1. Rename the file Defender-5.8.1-SOL181134.exe.rename to remove the .rename file extension.
2. Run the Defender-5.8.1-SOL181134.exe on the system running the Defender Management Portal and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
How to determine if this hotfix is installed
1. On the system running the Defender Management Portal, open the list of installed programs and updates (appwiz.cpl).
2. Under Tasks, click View installed updates.
3. Inspect the list of installed programs and updates. When this hotfix is installed, the following item is present in the list: Defender Hotfix: SOL181134 under Defender 5.8.1.
How to remove this hotfix
1. On the system running the Defender Management Portal, open the list of installed programs and updates (appwiz.cpl).
2. Under Tasks, click View installed updates.
3. In the list of installed programs and updates, click to select the hotfix entry Defender Hotfix: SOL181134 under Defender 5.8.1, and then click Uninstall.
