Is there an option in Defender to set it as the default Sign In Option?
Users have multiple credential providers installed on their workstations. How can we set Defender Desktop Login as the primary Sign In Option, so that they don't have to switch over to it?
Unfortunately, there is no option currently available in Defender Desktop Login to set it as the default or preferred Sign In Option in Windows. This behavior is controlled Windows. The default behavior is for Windows to display either the last used Sign In Option, or in some case, it could be determined by which application was installed first. Defender has not ability to override this functionality, as it is controlled natively in Windows.
The only option from a Defender perspective would be to use the "Block all Credential Providers except Defender" option in the GinaConfig, however, this would hide the other Sign In Options, so they would no longer be available for users to switch to.
