Option to set PIN missing for Soft Token for Windows
Description
All the other soft token options such as: Android, iOS, Java, SMS, and E-mail have the PIN option.
Soft Token for Windows does not allow to set a PIN in the Defender Management Portal or Active Directory, and the options to do so will either be missing or grayed out.
In Appendix G: Defender Web Service API, under the AddSoftwareTokenToUser method heading, it states, "PINs cannot be used when programming a Windows token."
Resolution
PIN usage is not compatible with Windows Soft Tokens at this time.
If a PIN is required due to company policy, please use a different type of Soft Token other than Windows.
Your Request will be reviewed by our technical reviewer team and, if approved, will be added as a Topic in our Knowledgebase.
