After upgrading to version 6.1, receive the error, "Error Unable to program token. [1]" -
Description
When attempting to program new tokens after a recent upgrade to 6.1, receive the following error, "Error Unable to program token. [1]" -
Cause
Upgrade may not have completed successfully, or was run with insufficient permissions. -
Resolution
The 6.1 upgrade includes a schema extension, therefore, you will need to execute it with a member of the AD Schema Admins group.
This permission is only required for the upgrade process, and is not required on a permanent basis.
