With ActiveRoles® Add-on for Recovery Manager for Active Directory, you can use the ActiveRoles Web Interface to perform the following tasks: •Restore directory object properties from a backup For a given user, computer, group or contact object, restore the object to the state that it was in at the time the backup was created by Recovery Manager for Active Directory. This allows you to undo the changes to the object that were made since the time of backup creation. •Restore deleted directory objects from a backup For a given Organizational Unit (OU) or container, view and restore (undelete) objects that were deleted from that OU or container since the time the backup was created by Recovery Manager for Active Directory. You can restore (undelete) objects that exist in the backup to the OU or container from which those objects were deleted. The add-on leverages a Web portal provided by Recovery Manager to restore objects and object properties in Active Directory. To perform a restore, the add-on user requires sufficient rights in Recovery Manager to search the Deleted Objects container, retrieve data from backups, and restore data to Active Directory. For instructions on how to perform a restore using the Recovery Manager Portal, refer to Recovery Manager documentation.
