Customer is using VHD based cloning on their Windows 7 Enterprise desktops and having problems with Endpoint registration in QESSO Console.
With SSO and FUS working as expected, users are unable to apply any kind of update to it's settings. Navigating to the cloned Endpoint AD object within the console, "Client version", "Installation date" and "Last product update" fields appear empty.
The original computer, used to generate the master image, appears registered as expected.
When cloning a computer, you must delete some registry keys and values before taking the image.
You must delete the following registry value:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Enatel\WiseGuard\FrameWork\AccessPoint\ComputerID
and the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Enatel\WiseGuard\FrameWork\AccessPoint\ValidatedSoftwareModules
(thus deleting all the values it contains)
