How to install a hotfix patch on TPAM Appliance. What are the required steps? -

Note: TPAM Appliance uses encrypted ZIP files, these ZIP files should not be uncompressed, unzipped or renamed, and should be applied as is to TPAM appliance.Take a current TPAM backup
To create and download a backup:
- Login to the /admin interface on the Primary- Select Backup | Backup History- Click "Backup Now"- Once the Backup Log shows "The backup operation has completed."- Click on "Online Backups" tab- Select the latest backup and click the "Download" button
To apply the hotfix patch
- Login to the /admin interface on the Primary- Go to the Maint menu and select Apply a Patch- Upload the file- Enter the "Key" and "Options" as listen in the knowledge base article for the hotfix (Ensure that there are no leading or trailing spaces for either field as this will cause the patch to not apply)- Leave the target Replicas as default (all selected)- Click Apply Patch.- Monitor the "Patch Log" tab until the patch has been successfully applied.
- The log should be free of errors and end with"Patch successfully applied to system"
The release notes will detail whether a reboot is required.
NOTE: Seeing skipped operations listed in the patch log is normal, and does not indicate an issue. e.g "SUMMARY: 2 installer operations skipped, 15 executed (15 successes, 0 failures ignored)"
