HOW TO: Using the "O365 script execution configuration" activity in an Automation Workflow to create a Shared Mailbox in Office 365 (4340803)

Starting in Active Roles 7.4, Active Roles Automation Workflows include a new Activity called O365 script execution configuration

This can be used to more easily run custom PowerShell commands against the Azure Tenant which is already configured in the Active Roles Administration Service.

NOTE:

WORKAROUND

1. In the Active Roles Console, navigate to Configuration | Script Modules and create a new script module named Create Office 365 Shared Mailboxes
2. Populate the script module with the attached script and save the script module
3. Navigate to Configuration| Policies | Workflow and create a new Automation Workflow
4. Expand the Workflow options and start conditions and click on Configure
5. Select the Parameters tab and add four single-value string parameters:

6. Click OK
7. Drag in the O365 script execution configuration activity

8. Drag in a Script activity and configure it with the Script Module and function created above

9. Delegate access to the new Automation Workflow as desired

STATUS

Enhancement Request 231701 has also been created to allow full CRUD (create, read, update, delete) support for Exchange Online shared and resource mailboxes.
