Custom dropdown boxes in the Active Roles Web Interface are blank on Deprovisioned objects -
Description
When custom dropdown boxes are implemented in the Active Roles Web Interface, they will not show any values for objects which are in a Deprovisioned state. -
Cause
This is expected behaviour.
Property Generation and Validation (PGV) Policies and the onGetEffectivePolicy script handler, which are the only options available to create a custom dropdown box, are both Provisioning Policy items which will not fire on a Deprovisioned object.
There is no corresponding script handler for onGetEffectivePolicy on Deprovisioned objects.

Résolution
While it is not possible to build a dropdown box on Deprovisioned objects, script modules and Change Workflows will still detect changes made to any attribute. Exposing a DirectoryString syntax attribute in the Active Roles Web Interface will result in a text value which can be manually entered, and exposing a Boolean syntax attribute will result in a checkbox. Changes made to these attributes will still be detected on Deprovisioned objects, and any custom operations can be performed as needed based on these triggers.
