Start a trace on the pmpolicy command and look for this error in the trace output:

- Start the pmpolicy trace by running the following command on the policy server:
/opt/quest/sbin/pmpolicy -z on
- Run the 'pmpolicy sync' command:
/opt/quest/sbin/pmpolicy sync
- Stop the trace:
/opt/quest/sbin/pmpolicy -z off
- Check the following output file for the "No space left on device" error message.
/tmp/pmpolicy.trc
- If you see the error message in the output, then use the following commands to determine if it is either a space or inode issue:

Check for space issue on the filesystem containing /etc/opt/quest:
df
Check for inode availability:
df -i

RESOLUTION:
Resolve any space or inode issues on the filesystem.
