Working around unprintable data in the source system -
Description
When attempting to perform a provisioning or update step, the following error message may be encountered:
The value for 'attribute' was not in the acceptable range.
When viewing the source data, the attribute is not NULL, but contains some blank or unprintable value.

Résolution
The true fix for this issue is to correct the source data so that it does not contain blank or unprintable characters. If no value is expected for an attribute, it should be set to a NULL.
WORKAROUND
Implement the following PowerShell script to return a value for the attribute with the problem values (substitute the correct attribute name):
if ($srcObj["attribute"] -eq ''){return $NULL}else {return $srcObj["attribute"]}
