How to install the QAS PowerShell snapin for Authentication Services?
A simpler method would be to use the Control Center installer and the customized installation options to de-select the other things but the "Core Components" which can't be unselected actually as being the mandatory installation.
The QAS powershell cmds are included when you install SAS. You can access them from the QAS Control Center, navigate to Tools | Quest Powershell Console
The first time you launch the PowerShell Console it asks you if you want to run software from this untrusted publisher. Enter A at the PowerShell prompt to import the digital certificate to your system as a trusted entity. Once you have done this you will never be asked this question again on this machine.
You also must have Windows Powershell installed as a prerequiste. There is not a separate install for the QAS powershell cmdlets. The powershell cmdlet for QAS comes as part of the QAS control center install. You could just install the QAS Control Center and not the other components by doing a custom install.
To install the QAS Powershell cmdlets without the QAS Control Center, you can run corexNN.msi on a system that has Windows Powershell cmdlets installed.
For more information see the information about custom install in the Authentication Services Installation Guide:
Please note: Management Console for Unx power shell commands are a separate install in the MCU download available here:
