If you are using the Client Deployment Settings GPO to perform the installation of the Privilege Manager client then you will need to remove the computer objects from that Client installation GPO first so the client is not reinstalled again.
Note: The Privilege Manager console and client must be using the same version.
Option 1:
To uninstall using a Client Deployment Settings GPO:
1. Create a new GPO in the Privilege Manager Console and on the Advanced Policy Settings tab, double-click Client Deployment Settings.
2. Choose the following option:
Remove Client: Remove Client software.
3. Click Next.
4. Define the Server.
5. Click Browse to locate a Server through Active Directory if required.
6. Click Test to verify the connection of the selected Server to the ScriptLogic PA Reporting Service. If the test fails, check to see if there are network or firewall problems.
7. Click the Clear the server name link if you want to configure another Server. The displayed service remains installed.
8. Click Next to use Validation Logic to target the settings to specific client computers within the GPO, or click Finish to save your settings and quit.
If an error message indicates that the target GPO is not selected:
a. Click OK to close the message window.
b. Open the GPO tab and select the desired GPO.
c. Click Save on the GPO toolbar to save the new settings.
9. Link the new GPO to the OU where the specific computer objects are located to remove the client on these computer objects.
Option 2:
To uninstall Privilege Manager Client manually:
You must have administrative privileges to uninstall the Client from a local computer.
1. Use the Windows Control Panel tool. The uninstaller completely removes all of the data.
2. Once Privilege Manager for Windows Client is removed, its rules no longer apply.
