Roaming properties of Notes user accounts

On the Roaming tab, enter details about user account roaming. You can edit these properties for new user accounts only.

Description

Enable roaming

Specifies whether roaming should be enabled or is enabled for the user account.

Roaming allowed

Specifies whether roaming is set up for the user account and whether all processes that replicate the roaming files have completed.

  • No: Roaming is not allowed.

  • Yes: Roaming is allowed and all processes have completed.

  • In progress: Roaming is allowed but there are still processes that need to complete.

  • Setup pending: Roaming has been enabled in One Identity Manager. However, the current processing status is unknown because it has not yet been written back from the Domino environment to the One Identity Manager database by synchronization.

Personal address book Name of the personal address book of the user account.
Cleanup option

Specifies when the loaded roaming files are removed from the client. Possible options are:

  • No cleanup

  • Clean up regularly: Specify an interval for cleaning up.

  • Clean up when Notes shuts down

  • Prompt user

Cleanup interval (days) Interval for cleaning up roaming files if the Clean up regularly option is set.
Roaming files Names of additional files to be replicated for roaming.
Roaming server Unique identifier of the server where roaming files are stored.
Personal roaming folder

Directory used to store roaming files (bookmark.nsf, names.nsf, notebook.nsf, roamingdata.nsf) on server and client.

Roaming mode Information about the use of roaming by the user account.

Assigning extended properties to Notes user accounts

Extended properties are meta objects, such as operating codes, cost codes, or cost accounting areas that cannot be mapped directly in One Identity Manager.

To specify extended properties for a user account

  1. In the Manager, select the HCL Domino > User accounts category.

  2. Select the user account in the result list.

  3. Select Assign extended properties.

  4. In the Add assignments pane, assign extended properties.

    TIP: In the Remove assignments pane, you can remove assigned extended properties.

    To remove an assignment

    • Select the extended property and double-click .

  5. Save the changes.

Specifying Notes user accounts as owners for documents

Specify in which documents to enter the user account as owner. You can only assign documents belonging to the same domain as the user account.

To specify a user account as owner for user accounts

  1. In the Manager, select the HCL Domino > User accounts category.

  2. Select the user account in the result list.

  3. Select the Assign document owner task.

  4. Select the User tab.

  5. In the Add assignments pane, assign the user accounts.

    TIP: In the Remove assignments pane, you can remove assigned user accounts.

    To remove an assignment

    • Select the user account and double-click .

  6. Save the changes.

To specify a user account as group owner

  1. In the Manager, select the HCL Domino > User accounts category.

  2. Select the user account in the result list.

  3. Select the Assign document owner task.

  4. Select the Group tab.

  5. In the Add assignments pane, assign groups.

    TIP: In the Remove assignments pane, you can remove the assignment of groups.

    To remove an assignment

    • Select the group and double-click .

  6. Save the changes.

To specify a user account as owner for mail-in databases

  1. In the Manager, select the HCL Domino > User accounts category.

  2. Select the user account in the result list.

  3. Select the Assign document owner task.

  4. Select the Mail-in DB tab.

  5. In the Add assignments pane, assign mail-in databases.

    TIP: In the Remove assignments pane, you can remove assigned mail-in databases.

    To remove an assignment

    • Select the mail-in database and double-click .

  6. Save the changes.

To specify a user account as certificate owner

  1. In the Manager, select the HCL Domino > User accounts category.

  2. Select the user account in the result list.

  3. Select the Assign document owner task.

  4. Select the Certificate tab.

  5. In the Add assignments pane, assign certificates.

    TIP: In the Remove assignments pane, you can remove assigned certificates.

    To remove an assignment

    • Select the certificate and double-click .

  6. Save the changes.

To specify a user account as owner for server documents

  1. In the Manager, select the HCL Domino > User accounts category.

  2. Select the user account in the result list.

  3. Select the Assign document owner task.

  4. Select the Server document tab.

  5. In the Add assignments pane, assign server documents.

    TIP: In the Remove assignments pane, you can remove assigned server documents.

    To remove an assignment

    • Select the server document and double-click .

  6. Save the changes.

Assigning owners to Notes user accounts

Specify which user accounts and groups are allowed to edit the selected user account.

To specify user accounts as owner

  1. In the Manager, select the HCL Domino > User accounts category.

  2. Select the user account in the result list.

  3. Select the Assign owner task.

  4. Select the User tab.

  5. In the Add assignments pane, assign the user accounts.

    TIP: In the Remove assignments pane, you can remove assigned user accounts.

    To remove an assignment

    • Select the user account and double-click .

  6. Save the changes.

To specify groups as owner

  1. In the Manager, select the HCL Domino > User accounts category.
  2. Select the user account in the result list.

  3. Select the Assign owner task.

  4. Select the Group tab.

  5. In the Add assignments pane, assign groups.

    TIP: In the Remove assignments pane, you can remove the assignment of groups.

    To remove an assignment

    • Select the group and double-click .

  6. Save the changes.
