Welcome to Dell One Identity Virtual Directory Server
Resolved Issues and Enhancements
Dell One Identity Virtual Directory Server (VDS) is a powerful tool to customize your identity infrastructure and to integrate it with your overall architecture. VDS was designed to overcome the limitations of identity data repositories and identity consuming applications by creating a highly versatile layer between them.
VDS functions as an LDAP proxy, as well as providing a virtual directory facility. In addition to its extensive support for the LDAP protocol, VDS offers support for a number of other protocols as well, making it a valuable tool for developers and administrators alike.

The following is a list of issues known to exist at the time of Dell One Identity Virtual Directory Server 6.1.0 release.
Known Issue | Defect ID |
Issue: Support MIT Kerberos® Libraries 1.10 and newer Description: In Linux® the recommended way to support SASL/GSSAPI/Kerberos® at VDS is through the MIT Kerberos® library. In version 1.10 a bug was introduced in this library that can prevent context establishment to the VDS listener from completing, more specifically when the client uses SPNEGO with MS KRB mechanism to connect. For more information visit http://krbdev.mit.edu/rt/Ticket/Display.html?id=7858 Workaround: Use MIT Kerberos® Library versions older than 5-1.10, or update to version 5-1.12.2 or newer |
6017, 2268831 |
Known Issue | Defect ID |
Issue: Truststore not updated after adding a new certificate Description: New connections to LDAPS servers with "blindly trust certificate" on may fail. The SSL certificate is not found in the truststore in spite of having being added before. This only happens when the truststore already exists, or when another certificate has just been added to another server Workaround: Remove the default truststore file before connecting an LDAPS server, or restart the LDAP Browser after adding a new certificate |
