The primary is unable to communicate to the new appliance on port 8000, it is however able to connect on port 22.
SOLUTION 1:
Ensure there is no previous cluster configuration (retain data not used) on the Replica. If there is, delete all reference (pre-enrollment snapshot) on this replica and try adding it again.
SOLUTION 2:
If this is a brand new appliance with no previous cluster configuration:
- Ensure both appliances are running the exact same version 2.5.x version
- Ensure that port is 8000 open in both directions between the appliances. A Telnet Test can be used to check this
- Reboot the replica. When it has successfully booted, attempt to add it to the cluster.
- Perform a restart of the Primary and then attempt to set up the cluster again.
