Description
When selecting a Managed Host in Quest One Identity Manager (Q1IM) Data Governance Edition (DGE) the following error is appearing:
"You are not authorized to use this database."
The Data Governance Service Log reports:

Cause
The error occurs if you are logged on to the machine using an AD account that does not have an Employee associated with it.
This is currently by design in DGE:
Even if you’re logged in to Manager using the viadmin account, the logged on Windows account is used to contact the DGE server.
So, the account should have the associated Employee and appropriate roles be able to view and manage hosts.
Note, in some cases if there is associated Employee but no roles assigned to it, you might see the red X:

Resolution
Log in to Manager with an account that has an associated Employee account with the required Data Governance application roles.
