The Sync-Editor gets stuck after starting the simulation, when the database is encrypted and the password for the connection to the target system has not been stored locally.
This still occurs when the ConfigParm "DPR\UI\EncryptedValueHandling" is set to "IgnoreAll", even if the password is supplied on loading the sync project.
This also occurs when the ConfigParm is set to "ByUser" and the password is not supplied on loading the sync project.
This is a product defect (30035)
WORKAROUND:
Since 7.1.1 it is possible to save some encrypted values by the sync editor locally. This will resolve this issue.
If you don’t see the option mentioned above, you probably have a wrong setting in the following parameter:
DPR\UI\EncryptedValueHandling
It should be set to "ByUser".
STATUS:
This will be fixed on a future release of the product. If you require this immediately corrected, please contact support for a hotfix referencing the defect ID 30035.
