If affected by the defect within 8.0.2, it is possible to manually change the column back by using the following SQL statement:
alter table PersonWantsOrg alter column ServiceNowSystemID varchar(64)
Development has acknowledged defect 105351 for the behaviour and fixed it with version 8.1.0.
