SocketException 10038/10053/10054 — affecting API server / AppServer communication
Description

After upgrading from 9.2 to 9.3.1, the customer reports ~2000 errors/day on their BAShop module. The user-visible errors are SocketException 10038 ("not a socket"), 10053 ("connection aborted"), and 10054 ("connection reset") plus SSL handshake failures on the API Server → AppServer hop. These errors occur only with Windows (NTLM) authentication; switching to OAuth eliminates them.

NTLM connection lifecycle lost after JsonServiceClient→JsonApiClient migration
Resolution

Raise a trouble ticket with the Support Team and request for Hotfix #725466 .
