Error “Requested value ‘STARTTLS’ was not found” when configuring email transport security -
Description
When STARTTLS, SSL, or STARTTLSWhenAvailable is selected for the Common\MailNotification\TransportSecurity configuration parameter, email notifications fail with an error similar to:
Requested value ‘STARTTLS’ was not found.
Selecting Auto allows email notifications to be sent successfully.

Cause
This is a product defect identified as defect ID #700189.
The transport security values saved by the configuration interface do not match the values expected by the underlying mail component. As a result, the selected encryption option cannot be processed.

Resolution
WORKAROUND
Set the Common\MailNotification\TransportSecurity configuration parameter to Auto.
Restart the One Identity Manager Service on the Job server responsible for sending email notifications and test the email delivery again.

The defect will be considered for correction in a future version of One Identity Manager.
