Commands and authentications are taking a very long time to complete. Errors are seen in commands with debug.

VASD is not running on the system but a socket file still exists in the following location.
ls -la /var/opt/quest/vas/vasd/.vasd40_ipc_sock
srwxrwxrwx 1 daemon daemon 0 Jan 7 10:29 /var/opt/quest/vas/vasd/.vasd40_ipc_sock
If vasd stops running for some reason or does not exit cleanly and the socket file is left behind then requests to VASD will still occur, since VASD is not running it will time out continually causing delays and slowness.
Delete the socket file and start VASD normally. The issue should be resolved.
