Cloud Access Manager configuration of Form Fill when OWA is protected by Threat Management Gateway (TMG) is different to the configuration required for a standard OWA deployment – if incorrect settings are used, users may see issues with Form Fill and auto-submit. This applies to OWA 2007 & OWA 2010.
When OWA is protected by TMG the Logon URL contains query string parameters that are required for Cloud Access Manager to identify the logon page reliably. It is important that the Cloud Access Manager configuration takes account of these.
Use the template provided in Cloud Access Manager for OWA 2010. This update is due to be updated for OWA 2007 in a future release - in the meantime, we recommend the following steps for a manual configuration:
When configuring your OWA 2007 application via Cloud Access Manager, run the Cloud Access Manager Admin console in an Internet Explorer browser.
On the Form Fill URLs page you should select to use the query string parameters when identifying the Login page by selecting the “Information in the query string is required to identify the login page of the application” checkbox. Leave all the parameters selected in the sub-selection list that appears.
The Application Portal URL for the Landing page icon must contain a matching URL to the Form Fill Login Page URL – including the query string- to avoid the need for a redirect when the page is opened in Internet Explorer. This will be the default value if you are using the Form Fill wizard and have selected to use the information in the query string on the Form Fill URLs page.
Note: if you change the Form Fill URLs configuration after exiting the wizard then the Application Portal URL will not be automatically updated to match your changes.
All other parameters may be left at defaults (other than defining the application and proxy URLs).
