When using the Perl API with TPAM, it is returning errors when code is run. Depending on the code in use, the errors returned may be "rc=-1" or "Missing one or more required options". The options in use in the code may appear to be correct.
The errors listed above may occur if the CLI key is being used instead of the API key. The CLI key will allow a connection, but the API code will not complete successfully when the CLI key is used.
Ensure that the key in use is the API key and not the CLI key. If in doubt, generate a new API key for the UserID.
This can be done via the "Users & Groups | UserIDs | Manage UserIDs". Locate the UserID in question, and view this UserID "Details" tab. The keys can be viewed under the "Key Based" tab.
