PSM, Test System and PPM works normally but Test Event Configuration is unable to connect to the managed system on Sun Solaris
Error message when Test Event Configuration is executed:
Testing event capture on system hostname(IP) through DPA (IP)
Task exited with return code 2
Testing SSH connectivity to (IP) using functional account.
Ssh Client connect failed
cannot communicate with hostname(IP)
Error message captured on sshd logs:
hostname sshd[9083]: [ID 800047 auth.info] Disconnecting: Bad packet length.
hostname sshd[11238]: [ID 800047 auth.info] Disconnecting: Bad packet length.
The issue is a Solaris Defect that affects encryption using the Blowfish cipher on the SPARC T4 platform type.
7101916 blowfish-cbc/hmac_sha1 in the SSH test suite failed on T4
For SPARC T4 systems running Solaris 10 the resolution is to install the ssl patch 147707-08 or later.
For SPARC T4 systems running Solaris 11 the resolution is to install Solaris 11 SRU 9.5 or later.
