When running a "Check Password" on a "Solaris" account the check fails and error "The password in TPAM DOES NOT MATCH the managed system" is displayed in the results. This occurs when users are using sunmd5 encrypted passwords (beginning with $md5$ in shadow file).
Change the password hashing encryption algorithm for managed accounts on the Solaris system. The following hashing types are supported:
Standard Unix crypt
1 BSD/Linux MD5
5 SHA-256 (supports long passwords)
6 SHA-512 (supports long passwords)
Enhancement request number 6418 has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of TPAM Appliance.
