When adding and removing users from AD groups configured to sync with TPAM via the Auto Discovery process, users notice that the updates are not being processed on the TPAM appliance.
When checking the Auto Discovery Agent in the /admin interface the message dispayed in the Agent Running field is "Unknown".
Attempting to use the Start / Stop buttons returns the message: "The Auto Discovery Agent failed to stop"
Unfortunately there is nothing further that can be done to troubleshoot this issue other than restart the Appliance.
/admin interface - Shutdown - Ensure Restart Option is selected and Click Reboot.
Wait for 5 minutes while the appliance restarts, then login to the /admin interface:
- System Settings - Agents - Auto Discovery Agent.
- Click the Agent Log - Single Day filter - Verify the Agent is processing the LDAP connections (Note: this can take 5 - 10 minutes before the updates show, also note the configuration of your Auto Discovery (/tpam interface) if the updates only run every hour, then it may be required to wait for the next schedule.
