Users are not able get any results when searching. They receive an error:
"This operation cannot be done offline. Error code : 0x81013106."
The system hasn't been validated:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Enatel\WiseGuard\FrameWork\AccessPoint\InstalledSoftwareModules] exists, but
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Enatel\WiseGuard\FrameWork\AccessPoint\ValidatedSoftwareModules] does not.
This means the service has not been able to connect successfully to the controller so that the installed software is validated, and thus allowed to function.
- Has the Configure Workstation step been completed on affected systems? This configures the system to talk to the ESSO Controller, or not, as is required.
- Is there a controller running in the environment?
- If the service is running as Local System, then it may be there are insufficient permissions to create the required entry for the workstation in Active Directory. Is the service using local system or a service account (domain account)?
Run the Configure Workstation step here: run WGSRVConfig.exe from E-SSO\TOOLS\WGSrvConfig in the installation media.
Then check the service and change this to a service account (domain account).
