On Solaris 10 and 11 root is being prompted when trying to change the password -
Description
On versions of QAS between 4.1.0.21098 and 4.1.0.21212, root is being prompted to enter a password instead of receiving the "New Password:2 prompt when trying to change local user passwods.
E.g. When vasd is running and root tries to change a passwordroot:~# passwd localuser
Password:
passwd: Sorry, wrong passwd
Permission deniedDisabling vasd allows the change to work correctly
root ~# svcadm disable vasd
passwd localuser
New Password:
Re-enter new Password:
passwd: password successfully changed for localuser -
