"Unable to apply configuration settings" error when clicking the apply button within the Office 365 add on for ActiveRoles Server mmc (4341228)

After inputting the required fields within the Active Roles Add-on For Office 365 application and clicking apply the following errors may be presented:

Unable to apply configuration settings

or

The 'ScriptExecution' policy encountered an error

or

Exception calling 'GetMappingPair'

Incomplete installation pre-requisites.

To properly install Active Roles Add-on for Office 365 the following software is required:

1. Quick Connect Sync Engine 5.4
2. Quest One Quick Connect for Cloud Services 3.6
3. Quest One Quick Connect Sync Engine Merge Module Hotfix (SOL118152)
4. Active Roles Add-on for Office 365 2.2
5. Windows Azure Active Directory Module for WIndows Powershell
6. Microsoft Online Services Sign-in Assistant

Please note that One Identity ActiveRoles Add-on for Connectors 1.1 can be installed instead of number one and two in the above list. This software includes Quick Connect Sync Engine 5.4 and ARAddonForConnectors

Please note that if the ActiveRoles Server and Quick Connect are on different hosts that number three and four from the above list are the only things required on the ActiveRoles Server. The Quick Connect Server would require numbers 1,2,4 and 5 from the list above.
