Description
When connecting to a specific domain within the ActiveRoles Server MMC the following error is presented:
The remote procedure call failed and did not execute
If multiple domain controlers service the affected domain, increase logging within the ActiveRoles Server MMC and reproduce the issue.
The key word to look for in the log is the error mesage presented above. The specific domain controller attempting to be contacted will be listed before this error message is presented.

Cause
The ActiveRoles Server is unable to make a remote proceedure call to a domain controller for the specified domain -
Resolution
Check the following:
- Check the local firewall on the ActiveRoles Server to ensure that proper RPC ports are opened
- Check the affected Domain Controller's ports to confirm they are open
- Check the event logs to see if any error messages are being logged during the time of the issue
- Attempt to connect to a domain controller for that domain via Active Directory Users and Computers on the ActiveRoles Server
