SSH key based authentication is not working with Unix enabled AD Accounts -
Description
Errors similar to the following are seen from syslog when trying to authenticate with SSH keys:
Apr 21 09:23:19 server sshd[5847]: Accepted publickey for user from 192.0.206.84 port 90210 ssh2
Apr 21 09:23:19 server sshd[5847]: pam_limits(sshd:session): invalid line 'fs.suid_dumpable = 0' - skipped
Apr 21 09:23:19 server sshd[5847]: pam_limits(sshd:session): invalid line 'hard core 0' - skipped
Apr 21 09:23:19 server sshd[5847]: error: PAM: pam_open_session(): Authentication failure
Apr 21 09:23:19 server sshd[5852]: Received disconnect from 923.634.205.81: 11: disconnected by user -
Resolution
In the sshd_config file please set "PermitEmptyPasswords" from "yes" to "no"
