After upgrading by running "./install upgrade" the following error is reported in "/var/log/dmesg"
.vgptool[29968]: segfault at 8 ip 000000000041bf2a sp 00007fff3c131490 error 4 in .vgptool[400000+63000]
This error has been reported when doing a QAS upgrade and is due to a mis-match between "vasgp" and "vasclnt" while upgrading.
What happens is when "vasclnt" upgrades it restarts "vasd".
Which runs "vgptool". Which segfaults because it’s not upgraded yet.
Once the upgrade is complete the correct version of "vasgp" should be installed.
Run the following command to check what versions of "vasclnt" & "vasgp" are installed
# rpm -qa | grep vas
If both "vasgp" and "vasclnt" are the same version then the segfault should no longer be reported.
This error can be avoided completely by doing an uninstall and reinstall.© 2024 One Identity LLC. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. Feedback Terms of Use Privacy Cookie Preference Center
