Error received when a User attempts to change their own password, using the 'passwd' command:
"Changing password for user jdoe.
Current password for jdoe@example.com:
New password:
Verifying New password:
This new password does not meet your domain's password policy requirements.
Contact your Administrator for information on the minimum password length, password complexity, and password history requirements.
passwd: Authentication token manipulation error"
Root or privileged accounts can change password for user. User can change password at login if "force password change" flag is set.
User account was either newly created, or had recently changed the password, and the "Minimum password age" policy is set to 1 day or more.
RESOLUTION 1:
Wait the required amount of time, as specified in the password policy.
RESOLUTION 2:
Change the password policy setting: "Minimum password age" to '0', then force a refresh of the Group Policies by running the following command from the command prompt:
"gpupdate /force"
