This document clarifies how the connection between Remote Connector and QuickConnect Service is encrypted.
The connection between the Remote connector and QC Service is encrypted using WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) Security capabilities.
To communicate with the Connector Access Service (as well as with Capture Agent) the QC kernel uses NET.TCP as transport. The connection is secured at the transport level by Windows security or at the message level, if the transport security can’t be applied.
