Yes. The CLI on a failed over Replica should work, as long as you have the correct user credentials and the appliance is accessible.
Here are some possible issues that you may encounter:
- CLI UserID does not exist on the Replica (it was not replicated from the Primary)
- The key for the user is invalid (perhaps the key was regenerated and the Replica has an older version)
- The UserID is locked or disabled
Most of these issues would be due to problems with replication between the Primary and Replica. As long as the Replica is up to date with all of the latest information from the Primary, the same UserIDs, passwords and keys should work on both appliances.
Unfortunately, some options are greyed out on the Replica, such as the option to download the CLI key, so you will either need to have a copy of the key available for use offline, or you will need to download a copy from the Primary.
