Would it be possible to force Defender Desktop Login to only require two factor authentication when the connection is created via RDP; and have local users not require two factor authentication? -
Resolution
Defender Desktop Login is designed to secure the desktop on all configured logins. It is not possible to force this to only require Defender authentication via only RDP connections.
One option would be to create two accounts; one for external RDP connections and one for internal local connections. Defender Desktop Login could then be configured to require two factor authentication for the external account.
