On AIX systems cron jobs are not running after the system reboots. Error: ! crontab for $USER not loaded due to authentication error. -
Description
After upgrading to 4.1 of Authentication Services cron jobs are not running after reboot.
! crontab for $USER not loaded due to authentication error. -
Cause
The vasd daemon starts after cron in the /etc/inittab. This could be cause by the below defect or if you have a non-standard inittab. For example some companies use software such as puppet or cfengine,etc to deploy a standard and push it out to the machine. -

* package: On AIX, vasd now inserts itself into /etc/inittab earlier. This
should allow it to start before cron so cron can support QAS users without
needing to be restarted.
