Synchronization Service does not support emails from domain .local
This issue occurs in the following places:
a)
1. Start Active Roles Synchronization Service 7.0
2. Click Settings -> Mail Profiles...
3. Create or select an existing mail profile
4. In "Sender email address:" enter: user@vm026.local , and hit Tab
5. Observed: "Incorrect input" message in red. Such email cannot be saved
6. Expected: emails in .local domains as in any other domain must be available
b)
1. Start Active Roles Synchronization Service 7.0
2. Select Sync Workflows tab -> Manage Alerts
3. Add an alert or select an existing one
4. In "Send email to:" enter: user@vm026.local , and hit Tab
5. Observed: "Incorrect input" message in red. Such email cannot be saved
6. Expected: emails in .local domains as in any other domain must be available
WORKAROUND:
Do not use domain names with '.local'.
STATUS:
This Product Defect (TF00633381) will be fixed in a future release of the product.
